The lights have been turned down in Minneapolis. They haven’t all gone out but they’re fewer every day. Coronavirus and street violence have darkened the mood; buildings are shuttering, businesses are leaving, condos aren’t selling.
The city government is in a tough spot and seems to be out of ideas for the moment.
It will take a while for this to turn around.
